'''Line-Captain Isaure Vellamy''' is the officer who led the survey crew through [[Held Door]] in the spring, and the last of them still holding her post at the hall's terminal dais.

== Overview ==
Vellamy stands where the hall ends, on a raised dais at its north terminus, with two of her own crew - a [[Doorheld Escort]] and a [[Doorheld Surveyor]] - kept alive at her side rather than left to fall with the rest. She wears the same drained Meridian issue as her crew, but hers runs hot rather than dead: her whole suit glows like heated anchor-iron, distinct from the near-black finish on the crew below her. Where the crew reads as drained and gone, she reads as caught - still recognizably a person, still running the same survey she started with in spring.

== In battle ==
Vellamy fights in silence until she is struck, at which point she makes her position plain. On first engaging a player:

Once wounded past half health, she names what she is defending:

== What her death opens ==
Vellamy's fall is not the end of Held Door's business. Her death opens a sealed door at her own stand point, onto a chamber the wing has never logged - holding whatever it actually was that took her crew before it caught her. The Meridian sends contractors after Vellamy believing the job ends with her; it does not.

== Access ==
Vellamy is fought at the terminal dais of [[Held Door]], reached by fighting north through the hall's Doorheld crew. [[Relief-Bearer Ysanne Loret]] sets the job that sends contractors after her.
