Gilded Shade is a Medium-weight shadow that fills the middle hall of The Iron Sill.
The Shades fed on the anchor-iron at one remove, and the metal gilds their edges without ever fully setting, so they read as darkness rimmed in dull bronze. This is the baseline creature of the dungeon, the ordinary weight against which the other floors are heavy or light: it comes at you at ordinary strength and in ordinary numbers. It is where most groups land and most begin, a clean fight with no tricks to it.
