| Role | Quest giver (capstone descent) |
|---|---|
| Location | Drift Network hall, by the First Pin door |
| Faction | The Meridian |
| Quests | First Pin descent |
Pinwright Ashina Yoi minds the oldest door in the Drift Network south wing, and speaks of what waits below it the way other people speak of weather.

Overview
The First Pin is the reason the whole south wing exists - the first anchor the Meridian ever drove, and everything since has hung off it. No work order has ever covered what waits at the bottom of its dig, and until a party actually files one, no complete survey of it has ever existed at all. Ashina Yoi is the one who sends parties down and the one who, the first time anyone succeeds, has to write a sentence her ledger has never carried before.
The descent
Talking to her enters you in the ledger and sends you down First Pin to the bottom of the dig. There is no partial turn-in; the descent ends only when The Unpinned falls.
| Task | Reward |

| Complete the descent (kill The Unpinned) | Level-scaled experience and 5 trade notes (1,250,000 pyreals), repeatable roughly once a day |

Dialogue
Speaking to her for the first time:
- "Every hinge in this wing hangs off the first pin, and something below is drawing it. Go down and unpin the puller, if you take my meaning."
Asking after the work while it's still open:
- "The First Pin is the oldest door we hold and the reason this wing was raised around it. There is no work order for it, only a descent, and no complete survey of the bottom has ever been filed. Bring back the bottom's measure or do not come back; either way the ledger gets a line."
Once you have filed a complete survey of the bottom:
- "A complete survey of the bottom of the First Pin. Nine years this wing has kept a ledger and it has never once carried that sentence. There are people above me who will read this page before morning, and above them I do not know who reads. Walk carefully. From tonight the ledger knows your name."
Handing over the Keystone the first time:
- "The Keystone is yours; it was cut the year the wing was raised, for whoever finally went all the way down, and until tonight it has sat in a drawer like a wager nobody collected."
Once paid, until the day's cadence resets:
- "The ledger says you have been through recently. Doors keep their own time; come back when yours has passed."
