The Clarity Suzerain is the caster half of the Firecut capstone pair, a crystalline golem that holds the platform directly among the party rather than staying back in the magma ring.

Overview

Where its counterpart the Bloomfire Exarch fights from the lava around the platform, the Suzerain stands with the party from the first moment, sized to match the Exarch's own bulk despite being built from an entirely different frame. It is a pure caster: it carries no melee, missile, or two-handed weapon skill at all, relying entirely on a broad spellbook and its own considerable magic defense.

Fight

The Suzerain resists bludgeoning damage almost completely, and its slashing resistance is the lowest of its physical resistances - a party favoring edged weapons over blunt ones will find more purchase here. Beyond that its elemental resistances sit fairly even across fire, cold, acid, and electric damage. It has no weapon of its own and does not close to melee the way the Exarch does; expect it to fight entirely at range.
