Line-Greaser Tobbin Mott is the Meridian line-greaser posted at Rusting Door, in the Drift Network hall. His hands are black to the wrist, and he has stopped washing them between inspections.
Overview
Tobbin keeps the ledger on the four Rust-Seized Valves inside Rusting Door. He does not send you after a kill count - he sends you after the valves themselves, and marks each one off as it turns, in any order you like. Only once all four are open does he settle the ledger and pay out.
The valve ledger
Tobbin tracks four valve-flags, one per Rust-Seized Valve inside Rusting Door, and settles the ledger once all four have been forced within the same cycle.

The experience award is a full level's worth at the player's own level (capped at the level-48 amount), paid every time the ledger is settled, together with the 5 trade notes. The Signet itself - one piece of the Dedication Set - is handed over only the first time the ledger is ever settled on a given character.
Dialogue
Greeting Tobbin sets the job:
- "Four valves seized since last inspection, and the burun nesting in the works. Bring them all to turning and I'll stand you a signet."
Offering the job fresh:
- "The Rusting Door has four valves seized along the descent, iron the founders drove and cannot get back now. Force each one open and I will mark it in the ledger. The founders want all four, not three."
While any valve is still unturned:
- "The ledger is not settled. Go back to the Rusting Door and force what is still seized."
When the fourth and final valve turns:
- "All four valves are open and the line has gone quiet. The founders will want to know what backed up behind them, but that is their column to fill, not mine."
Handing over the Signet, the first time only:
- "Your Signet, as ordered."
And once the day-long cooldown is running:
- "The ledger says you have been through recently. Doors keep their own time; come back when yours has passed."
