The Bloomfire Exarch is the melee half of the Firecut capstone pair, a molten giant that works the magma ring the platform sits inside rather than closing onto the platform itself.
Overview
The Exarch stands in the lava ringing the Firecut platform, immune to the fire that would kill anything else standing there. It fights by pressing at whoever comes within reach rather than by chasing across the whole room, so the fight is really about the ring it holds, not a chase across the chamber. It is the larger and heavier-hitting half of the pair - its counterpart, the Clarity Suzerain, holds the platform itself as a separate, independently-targetable threat.
Fight
The Exarch is a pure melee brawler with no missile or ranged weapon skill of its own, backed by a small casting kit it uses alongside its attacks rather than in place of them. It is essentially immune to fire damage and resists physical damage across the board at roughly half strength; nothing about its build suggests a soft elemental weakness to exploit.
Its size is the largest on the wall - noticeably taller than a typical creature its level, so its melee reach and hitbox both run larger than expected.
