Drift-Touched Olthoi Soldier are the heavier half of the brood pulsing out of Breathing Door, gold-touched Olthoi that arrive on the worse pulses.
They press harder and hit harder than the Drone brood beside them, the ones the door sends through once a pulse is already bad. They also stand as Matron of the Long Breath's own escort, flanking her breach at the pit's centre once she rises. Like every Olthoi they never speak - the brood's only voice is the door's own breathing. Their carapace carries the same dull, drift-touched gold as the Drones, a shared mark of whatever the door has been leaking into its brood.
