Doorheld Escort are the tanky front line of the crew still holding Held Door, corrupted Meridian soldiers wearing the drained-out husk of their own issue.
They were the survey crew's line troops, and they still fight like it: heavier and more numerous than their Gauger and Surveyor kin, planted thickest near the entrance mouth where the hall first opens. Their plate has gone near-black, the unit's old filigree reduced to a faint, dead blue glow where its silver used to catch the light. Nothing about them reads as a monster wearing armor - they read as their own people, corrupted in place, which is the whole horror Held Door is built around.
