Bevan Tolliver has been taken out of the world. The salvage he sold is now made by players out of loot instead - see Custom Crafting. This page is kept as a record of what he stocked.

Salvage-Broker Bevan Tolliver is the Marketplace merchant who deals in tinkering gems and every salvage material the Custom Crafting systems are built from. His shelf has two price points and no haggling: one Trade Note for anything single-use, ten for a reusable hammer.

Overview

Bevan buys nothing from players - he is sell-only, and says as much unprompted. Everything on his shelf is priced flat regardless of what the item is normally worth, which is exactly what he means when he tells you the pricing "took me an afternoon and I have not regretted it since." He stands in the Marketplace's central travel alcove, near the Drift Network portal and the Town Network portal that the Deed-Counter Watari Jun keeps his ledger between.

Inventory

No icon renders exist yet for Bevan's stock, so the table below omits an Icon column.

Single use, one Trade Note

Item What it does
Prismatic Drift Stone The starter tinkering gem. Used once on an untinkered melee weapon, missile launcher, or caster in your pack, it sets a rending matching the weapon's strongest damage type and adds a handful of extra edge-work, permanently closing that weapon to any other tinkering.
Sealed Bag of Tiger Eye Salvage Used once on a never-tinkered piece of armor in your pack, it works 1 to 5 steel armor tinkers into the piece and settles one random equipment mod into it besides. The armor is then fully tinkered and can never be tinkered again, obsidian included.
Sealed Bag of Obsidian Salvage Applied to a rated item it converts every rating into a mod instead; applied to an item already converted, it rerolls every mod on it. Refused on anything finished with Tiger Eye.
Sealed Bag of Tourmaline Salvage Throws away every special modifier on a weapon and draws a completely fresh set. The only way to change how many a weapon carries.
Sealed Bag of Amethyst Salvage Swaps one of a weapon's special modifiers for a different one, leaving the rest alone.
Sealed Bag of Serpentine Salvage Replaces every item enchantment on a piece of looted gear with a different one of the same level. Works on weapons and armour alike.
Sealed Hollow Hammer Not spent on gear at all. Used on a full bag of Tiger Eye, Obsidian, Tourmaline, Amethyst or Serpentine already in your pack, it consumes that bag plus several more full bags of the same material and forges a full ten-charge Hammer of it.

Ordinary tinkering salvage, one Trade Note

These four are not custom crafting materials. They are plain retail tinkering salvage, sold sealed for convenience, and they behave exactly as salvage you gathered yourself: they count against the weapon's normal ten-tinker limit, and they are refused on anything retail would refuse. The custom salvage above sidesteps that limit; these do not.

Item What it does
Sealed Bag of Salvaged Steel Armor level +20. Not usable on Covenant armour.
Sealed Bag of Salvaged Iron Weapon damage +1.
Sealed Bag of Salvaged Mahogany Missile damage modifier +4%.
Sealed Bag of Salvaged Green Garnet Caster elemental bonus +1%.

All four unwrap at workmanship 10, the best an ordinary bag can be. One quirk worth knowing: three of the four unwrap into a bag named simply "Salvage" - only the steel one names itself. That is how retail names salvaged bags, so tell them apart by their icon and appraisal rather than by the name in your pack.

Ten uses, ten Trade Notes

Item What it does
Sealed Tiger Eye Hammer Ten applications of Tiger Eye's armor-tinker-and-mod grant in one reusable tool.
Sealed Obsidian Hammer Ten applications of obsidian's mod reroll in one reusable tool.
Sealed Tourmaline Hammer Ten applications of the Tourmaline reroll.
Sealed Amethyst Hammer Ten applications of the Amethyst swap.
Sealed Serpentine Hammer Ten applications of the Serpentine enchantment reforge.

Everything is sold sealed, so what you buy is a wrapper: use it in your pack to break the seal and the bag or hammer inside is already full and ready to use. There is nothing to fill or prepare first. A hammer crumbles to dust when its last charge is spent.

Dialogue

Opening a trade with Bevan:

"Notes only. I do not weigh coin and I do not haggle. What I have is salvage, and every one of them costs a single note."

Buying something from him:

"One note, one item. The pricing took me an afternoon and I have not regretted it since."

Trying to sell him something:

"I buy nothing. Whatever you are holding, someone else wants it more than I do."

Closing the trade window:

"Mind the stones in your pack. They are patient, but they are not gentle."
