Verdelite Gear Trooper is the rank-and-file of the Gear Knight crew holding Open Cut, posted at every tourmaline seam and flanking the approach from the entry portal.
Overview
Gear Knights are industrious constructs, methodical enough to run a structured mining operation rather than simply guard one, and the Troopers are the bulk of that crew - the most numerous of the dig's three ranks, stationed in pairs at each seam row and singly along the approach.
Combat
Heavily armored against slashing, piercing and bludgeoning damage, and notably resistant to cold and fire, but distinctly vulnerable to acid - a corrosion weak point in otherwise well-plated construction.
