Draft:Custom Dreamweave Augmentations

Custom Dreamweave Augmentations are three uncapped augmentations sold by three brokers in the Drift Network, bought with Blank Augmentation Gems at a price that climbs as you collect more of the same one.

What they are

Retail augmentations are one-and-done: you buy the rank, and that is the end of it. These three are not. Each one can be bought as many times as you can afford, and the price climbs a Fibonacci curve as you go - 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21 and on up.

Fi's bonus adds to the retail Increased Spell Duration augmentation rather than replacing it, and it works on its own - you do not need the retail augmentation first.

Where they are

All three stand in the south wing of the Drift Network, in a loose group down the centre aisle. Fi and Bo face each other; Nacci stands a couple of paces south of them.

They replaced Dispatcher Corwen Hale, who had been a greeter with nothing left to dispatch since the door work orders moved to the individual wardens.

How to buy one

1. Bring Blank Augmentation Gems. Nothing else is accepted, and each broker will tell you so in their own words if you try.
2. Hand one gem to the broker. They quote you the full price for your next purchase of their augmentation and ask you to confirm.
3. Accept, and the whole price is taken from your pack at once. Refuse, or come up short, and nothing is taken at all.
4. The broker hands back an augmentation gem. Use it the way you would any augmentation gem, and the augmentation is yours. It costs no experience - the price was already paid in Blank Gems.

Details

• Price. The cost is set by how many of that augmentation you already own, not by how many you own in total. Your first is 1 gem, your second 1, your third 2, your fourth 3, and so on. The curve eventually plateaus rather than climbing forever.
• Nacci's price is account-wide. Her augmentation is shared by every character on your account, and so is its price index. Buying a fourth on one character means the next one costs a fifth-purchase price on every character.
• Fi and Bo price per character. Each of your characters climbs its own curve for those two.
• Nothing is taken on a refusal. The affordability check runs before any gem is consumed, so a short count leaves your pack exactly as it was.
• Pack space. The broker checks you have room for the returned gem before taking payment.
• Pick-up speed shares a cap with the quest boons. If you already hold all four pick-up boons you are at the ceiling, and Bo's gems will not add anything on top until that ceiling moves. /pickupspeed tells you where you stand.

Tips

• Buy Nacci's on whichever character is convenient. The vault space lands on the account either way.
• Check /pickupspeed before spending on Bo's, so you are not buying a bonus you cannot use yet.
• The early purchases are very cheap. The curve only bites after about the eighth, so there is little reason not to take the first few.
